Hardware Test Technician

Our client, a leader in advanced robotics systems, is seeking a Hardware Test Technician to join their team. As a Hardware Test Technician, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the development of cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent documentation abilities, and the capacity to work cross-functionally, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Hardware Test Technician

Location: Austin, TX

Pay Range: $50~60 per hour

Shift: 8:00am 4:00pm or 11:00am- 10:00pm

What's the Job?

  • Design, document, and build hardware test racks and fixtures for robotics system testing.
  • Specify and integrate test equipment, including power supplies, signal generators, DAQs, and measurement systems.
  • Design, document, and validate custom cable harnesses for testing and integration.
  • Develop scalable and modular test architectures for PCBA, sub-assembly, and full-system validation.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to define test requirements and ensure alignment with production goals.

What's Needed?

  • Proven experience in test rack design and build, cable harness development, and test equipment integration.
  • Strong understanding of PCBA test methods, signal integrity, and system-level validation principles.
  • Proficiency with schematic and wiring diagram tools (e.g., Altium, SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD).
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
  • Experience in robotics or complex electromechanical systems is preferred.
