BROAD FUNCTIONSSupports Facilities within the grounds team.27+/- hours per week, Monday through Thursday 7am- 2:30pm, some Fridays/ weekends as needed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssists with:Care of trees, shrubs, plants, and landscaping bedsTrash removalSnow removal, if neededParking lot maintenance.Mowing grass using hand and power mowersTrimmingRaking leaves* Additional responsibilities as specified by supervisor WORK ENVIROMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly expected to stand, walk, climb, use hands to finger, handle and feel and reach with hands and arms. Normally will be required to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Able and willing to work in inclement weather.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSOperate equipment commonly used in commercial grounds operations.Basic features within Microsoft Office (Outlook) Be customer service oriented.Personal drive to keep on task to meet deadlines.Work independently and in a teamWillingness to learn.Jackson College only accepts on-line applications though this system.
