Responsibilities As a Dental Assistant you will be responsible for the following (not limited to):
- Welcome patients and get them situated in the appropriate treatment room.
- Assist the doctor in providing care to the patient.
- Be knowledgeable of existing and emerging technologies and clinical initiatives that impact the back-office experience.
- Actively monitor lab materials and supplies.
- Develop a relationship with the patient.
- Follow all OSHA/HIPAA guidelines.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms as needed.
- Take, expose, and mount high quality dental radiographs.
- Contribute to the team in achieving business objectives to accomplish goals.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and team.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience working as a Dental Assistant.
- Digital Scanning experience highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Other certifications as required by the state, as an example: Radiology Certification, CPR, Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions (RDAEF), preferred but not required.
