Job DescriptionJob Summary: Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for precision and security? Centrus Energy is looking for a Security Support Specialist - Locksmith to support critical facility operations at multiple sites. In this role, you won't just cut keys-you'll build, track, and secure the systems that keep our nation's nuclear infrastructure safe. From vaults to lockout/tagout safety systems, your attention to detail will help ensure compliance with strict DOE and NRC standards. If you're mechanically inclined, thrive in structured environments, and want your work to have national impact, this may be your ideal fit.What You Will Do: You'll build and maintain secure lock and key systems across Centrus sites, support the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program, and ensure compliance for all security containers and controlled access points. Your role includes inventory management, documentation, and tracking of security assets, as well as assisting with audits, risk assessments, and emergency service repairs. You'll collaborate closely with Safety and Security teams, receive specialized locksmith and container training, and be a critical player in Centrus' mission to protect sensitive infrastructure.We'd Love to Hear From People With: Associate's degree in Security, Engineering, Physical Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience Mechanically inclined with a strong technical aptitude Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, and database tools Strong written documentation and record-keeping skills Ability to prepare accurate, concise technical documents Willingness and ability to respond to after-hours emergency repairs Must obtain and maintain a Q level security clearance A Successful Candidate Brings: Experience supporting NRC/DOE-regulated security or lock and key programs Completion of any of the following (or ability to obtain): Professional Locksmithing General Class Container Identification Course KABA X-09/X-10 Lock Installation & Operation Course GSA Container and Vault Inspection Course Experience interacting with regulatory agencies (e.g., NRC or DOE) Familiarity with security risk assessments, self-audits, and corrective action systems In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.Centrus Energy and all subsidiaries shall abide by the applicable legal requirements. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government.
