North Central Human Service Center - Minot, ND - Office Assistant Office Assistant, part time, 32 hours per week, benefitted Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover. As an Office Assistant, you will provide support for the Youth and Family Teams by scheduling client appointments and making appointment reminder calls for providers. You'll assist teams with Releases of Information, mailings, printing, copying/faxing as needed, and assist with special projects. You'll work with the State Criminal Background Check Unit, doing fingerprint scans for newly hired childcare staff, foster care, and adoptions. This is a part-time, 32 hours per week, benefited position. To thrive in this position, you must be an action-oriented problem-solver. You have a calm demeanor and aren't easily rattled by demanding personalities. You can identify the individual's needs, even when they are unclear about their needs. You're able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with all types of people. You exemplify the ideals of respect, confidentiality, courtesy, and helpfulness. To be considered for this position, you are required to have a high school diploma or GED and three years of experience performing a variety of complex office support, clerical, or secretarial work. Additional education with major coursework in office support or business may substitute for up to two years of the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis. This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
