Position Summary The Intake Coordinator will be the welcoming face of our evening Adult Education programs, helping participants navigate registration, testing, and intake processes while ensuring smooth behind-the-scenes operations. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a dynamic, multilingual environment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage outreach, intake, registration, and data entry for evening classes.
- Support program promotion through community outreach and social media.
- Maintain accurate participant data in ASISTS and internal databases.
- Assist with testing, placement, and enrollment processes.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, social media, and walk-ins.
- Provide interpretation and translation support (Spanish or Russian preferred).
- Organize student files (digital and physical).
- Track attendance and assist with reporting.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and development opportunities.
- Support audit preparation and funder visits.
- Perform other duties as needed to ensure program success.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree preferred (or high school diploma with some college coursework). Foreign degrees welcome.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with adults or in an educational setting; customer service experience a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Understanding of the needs of immigrant and adult learners.
- Proficiency in MS Office, email, and databases (ASISTS or Salesforce preferred).
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Russian required.
- Flexible availability for evening hours, with occasional daytime or weekend work.
