Regional Recruiter

Position location is flexible and may office from any Fastenal location in the Region.

Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 5:00pm

Overview:

Working as a Full-time Regional Recruiter, you will work closely with the Director of Recruiting, Regional Vice President, District Managers, and General Managers in the region to establish a pipeline of qualified candidates that align with Fastenal's cultural values. You will coordinate recruiting activities and develop and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, and diversity & community organizations to establish long-lasting partnerships. This position may offer a flexible schedule after onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop relationships with college and university contacts including career services, employer relations, professors, department heads, student organizations, athletic departments, and more.
  • Coordinate and participate in campus recruiting activities including classroom presentations, networking events, employer panels, career fairs, mock interviews, info sessions, advisory boards, virtual events, and more.
  • Post open positions on preferred school network job boards like Handshake, Simplicity, etc.
  • Coordinate effective internship programs for entry-level sales and supply chain positions.
  • Develop relationships with community organizations including the Chamber of Commerce, Workforce Centers, Local Veteran Employer Representatives, Professional Associations, and other diversity organizations.
  • Maintain contact information for recruiting contacts and document recruitment efforts.
  • Develop an employee referral program to maximize personal networks and increase awareness of job opportunities.
  • Manage social media engagement to strengthen Fastenal's employer brand and create marketing content to promote job opportunities within the region.
  • Execute recruiting strategies that attract qualified candidates and develop talent pools with sustainable pipelines while maintaining EEO practices.
  • Evaluate recruitment activities and best practices, providing feedback to managers on effectiveness and ROI.
  • Participate in employee development trainings.
  • Utilize technology tools to enhance recruiting efforts.
Required Qualifications:
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and meet driving record requirements.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or Human Resources OR 1 year of recruiting experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organization, planning, and prioritizing skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with urgency.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Motivated, self-directed, customer-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Alignment with core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
  • Pass drug screen and sex offender registry check as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of recruiting technology and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Experience with professional associations like NACE.
  • Understanding of University Relations and Recruiting (URR).
