Job Description :

We're partnering with a well-regarded CA firm looking to add to their Litigation Group in San Diego. Ideal candidate will have strong background within both litigation and transaction matters. Must have CA experience and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Essential Functions

  • Communication: Draft, review, and revise correspondence, reports, pleadings, and memoranda with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Document Processing: Format court filings per federal and state rules, create TOAs and TOCs, handle in-person and electronic filings, and demonstrate knowledge of position statement processes.
  • Calendaring: Manage deadlines with calendaring tools like CompuLaw, ensuring attorneys stay informed.
  • Technology: Proficient in Office 365, iManage, CCC Macros, Adobe, and other software with quick and accurate typing skills.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively and professionally with colleagues to maintain firm standards and policies.
  • Composure: Perform efficiently and accurately in high-volume, deadline-driven situations.
  • Other duties as assigned (subject to change by management).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of legal secretary/legal assistant experience.
  • Litigation experience in California state and federal courts required; appellate experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
