Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

- 2–3 years in IT, with 1–2 years in SRE

○ Strong background in incident/problem management (3–5 years)

○ Windows Server basics: event logs, services, IP config

○ RedHat OpenShift experience is a big plus

○ Basic networking: TCP/IP, subnets, troubleshooting

○ Monitoring tools: Dynatrace (preferred), Splunk

○ Scripting: PowerShell or Python for automation/log parsing

○ Databases: Ability to run SQL queries (MS SQL/Oracle)

○ Manufacturing domain experience is highly preferred

- Excellent soft skills

○ Thick skin and ability to work under pressure

○ Strong communication and documentation skills

○ Independent, proactive problem solver

Comfortable with high visibility and stakeholder interaction

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for 2 Site Reliability Engineers to join the team of its largest OEM customer based in Dearborn, MI. These individuals will be joining the Plant Material Flow & Scheduling Team, part of the IT Manufacturing space for the client, and will play a critical role supporting a global application that runs the clients plant floor systems. They will also be on-call up to 12 hours a day, potentially on holidays, etc.

- Specific Responsibilities:

○ Support and deploy NGAVS, a critical plant floor application

○ Ensure uptime and reliability for global manufacturing systems

○ Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and reporting

○ Collaborate with development teams on deployment plans

○ Maintain ticket queues and document recovery/test processes

○ Rotate on-call support (1 week/month after training)

○ Work closely with global teams (e.g., Chennai-based sister team)

Use monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues

Compensation: $45/hr to $55/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
