Staff Research Associate Division of Experimental Medicine Full Time 85389BR Job Summary The purpose of this position is to manage a laboratory conducting translational human immunology research, focusing primarily on malaria and on congenital CMV infection. The candidate will conduct hypothesis-driven immunology research under the mentorship of the PI, and will also help to manage day-to-day operations of the lab, including ordering of supplies and equipment, and coordination of collaborations between our lab and others, including our UCSF-affiliated field lab in Uganda. In addition, the candidate will help to train new laboratory members, including fellows and students, in basic and advanced immunology techniques including multiparameter flow cytometry, PCR, ELISA, and data management. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF.
