- Specialty: Float RN (Med-Surg/ER)
- Ratios: 1:4-6 depending on acuity
- Common Patients: wound care, rehab, IV antibiotics, cellulitis, a-fib, falls
- Drips: Heparin & Insulin (must be comfortable titrating)
- Tele: Must read & interpret own strips
- Support Staff: CNAs (shared with ER), Shift Supervisor
- Certifications: BLS required
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years RN (no first-time travelers)
- Shifts: 12s, block scheduling when possible
- Floating: Required between Acute Care & ER
- Scrubs: Any color
- Orientation: 1-2 shifts with preceptorAdditional Notes:
- Must be resourceful & independent (no RRT/IV team)
- Rural location; housing is limited (Airbnb options available)
