Job Description:

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team at Vinita Hospital. The PT will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, progressing therapy programs, and educating patients, families, and other healthcare providers. The role requires strong clinical judgment, patient-focused care, and a commitment to meeting productivity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Initiate, administer, and progress therapy treatments as appropriate.
• Set functional goals and adjust programs as goals are met.
• Provide patient and family education on therapy techniques and home programs.
• Document patient care accurately, including treatment records and daily charges.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain technical expertise through continuing education and departmental in-services.
• Support departmental operations, assist in training new staff, and mentor students/observers as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of physical therapy practices and standards.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and staff.
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply professional standards and procedures.
• Competency with computer systems for documentation and reporting.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with adaptability in changing clinical environments.

Education & Licensure:

• Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Valid State of Oklahoma Physical Therapy License or Temporary Letter of Authorization to practice.
• 0 – 6 months of related work experience (new graduates encouraged to apply).
