Project Foreman

Job Type: Full-time, Hourly

Location: Weems, VA 22576Job Summary:

The Foreman will be responsible for supervising the field operations of a team of 5 to 10 technicians, ensuring that work is performed safely, on time, and to quality standards. This position will include tracking progress, coordinating with the Superintendent and Construction Manager, monitoring labor and equipment usage, and maintaining documentation. The Foreman will also assist with problem-solving in the field and help keep the project on schedule and within budget. This role will play a critical part in the successful completion of major bridge rehabilitation and infrastructure projects in 2025 and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately estimates labor requirements, develops crew schedules, and assures productive completion of work tasks.
  • Provides training and assistance to crew in the performance of work tasks; assists or performs duties of Techs and Leadmen as needed.
  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solutions and solve problems.
  • Maintains high-quality workmanship and ensures work is completed according to Contract Specifications and Freyssinet Standards.
  • Recognizes field condition changes and notifies appropriate supervisory or client personnel.
  • Ensures all tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained and used properly to avoid crew downtime.
  • Accurately determines material needs and ensures adequate supplies are on-site.
  • Completes all essential paperwork accurately and on time to avoid processing delays.
  • Assists Project Managers in evaluating production rates, forecasting progress, and identifying schedule or budget risks.
  • Manages or assists with project Change Orders and understands subcontractor scopes and technical specifications.
  • Coordinates work activities with other crews and construction project tasks.
  • Reads blueprints and specifications to plan construction procedures.
  • Assigns work to employees based on job needs and available resources.
  • Trains workers on construction methods, equipment operation, safety, and company policies.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and well-organized jobsite while demonstrating strong time management and prioritization skills.

Requirement Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with supervising project execution with a large-scale self-performing general contractor, concrete contracting firm or concrete repairs
  • Experience working with steel and must be proficient in operating lifting equipment, including boom lifts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in self-performing work is required.
  • Must be willing to work from the project site up to 100% of the time.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and agree to MVR check to operate company vehicles or drive for business purposes.
  • Willing to have flexible working hours.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction principles and practices is essential, along with experience supervising projects valued at over $1 million.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive successful outcomes for projects.
  • Candidates must be willing to travel nationwide and be present on-site according to a rotating schedule during project builds, with the ability to accommodate extended stays as necessary.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
