We are seeking a dedicated full-time MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team! This position requires working 80 hours bi-weekly on an evening schedule from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm, with a call duty on one weekday every three weeks, and a weekend rotation every fourth weekend from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm. Weekend call is required every eighth weekend.

Job Overview: Under the guidance of the radiologist and supervision of the department manager, the MRI Imaging Specialist performs high-quality diagnostic imaging, utilizing established protocols and techniques. This role requires independent judgment, creative problem-solving skills, and thorough knowledge of MR safety, anatomy, and patient care. Responsibilities include:

• Producing and evaluating MRI images for accurate diagnosis
• Administering contrast injections and ensuring proper IV access
• Training and orienting new staff, as well as providing educational support to students
• Maintaining a safe and infection-free environment
• Collaborating effectively with team members to enhance patient care
• Adhering to ACR continuing education requirements and ASRT Practice Standards

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Allied Health
• Completion of an accredited MRI program
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
• Knowledge of MRI safety protocols and venipuncture
