DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Mail Machine Operator I, you will be responsible for processing permit and meter mail jobs using high-powered folding and inserting equipment. Duties will entail receiving and transporting checks to the Mail Center and preparing materials and equipment for large mail operations. Diligent attention to detail is essential in order to monitor machine operations, perform routine maintenance, and ensure all mail is processed accurately and efficiently. Strong organizational skills are employed to maintain records, handle various mail processing forms, and adhere to U.S. Postal Service regulations. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all checks are issued promptly and accurately to our citizens.
