Certification Details- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- Tennessee RN or multi-state compact license
Job Details- Med/Surge Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
- Responsibilities include consulting and coordinating with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Prepare and administer prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs.
- Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, interpret and record electronic displays.
- Initiate corrective action for adverse symptomatology.
- Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients.
- Participate in discharge planning and utilize time management skills.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.
Job Requirements- Must have Tennessee RN or multi-state compact license.
- Must have ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.
- Must have 2 years recent Med/Surg experience.
