Position Summary:
- Role: Registered Nurse – Ventilator Unit
- Facility: Rehab & Extended Care Facility, Oneida, NY
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour days)
- Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours/week guaranteed
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days)
Requirements:
- Active NY RN license – Required
- BLS certification – Required
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience – Required
- Experience with ventilator patients – Required
- Caregivers who left the organization within the past 5 years – Ineligible for rehire
Job Description Highlights:
- Provide direct nursing care to ventilator-dependent residents
- Responsible for medication administration, treatments, and care plan documentation (MAR, TAR)
- Supervise daily activities of CNAs and ward clerks on the unit
- Must be able to make independent clinical decisions and communicate consistently with supervisors
- Work under the supervision of RN Unit Manager or Nursing Supervisor and physicians
