Customer Service/ Patient Care. Prepares, provides, and serves attractive and quality food and service as assigned. Maintains good portion control. Utilizes positive customer service skills such as smiling, offering suggestions, providing for special requests, etc. Use of AIDET to ensure patient experience and verify patient identification. Delivers patient trays to all areas of the hospital. Ensures nurses are notified of carb control tray deliveries. Ensures dieticians are notified of calorie counts for assigned patients. Assists in menu collection for critical care patients, non-English speaking patients, and low literacy patients. Uses CBORD diet office software competently and completes daily CBORD tasks. Modifies menus as needed following medical staff approved Diet Manual guidelines and by following meal patterns/goals as established by the dietitian for inpatients.
