Job Description :

Position Overview

As a Senior Electronics Technician, you will be a critical part of a skilled team specializing in component-level analysis, debugging, and repair of electronic boards and assemblies. This role begins with functional or parametric testing of circuit boards—identifying any issues via visual inspections, schematic reviews, or advanced testing using oscilloscopes, DVMs, function generators, and other bench-top tools. Upon isolating faults, you'll carry out component-level repairs using both SMT and through-hole rework techniques and subsequently retest the assemblies. You'll also collaborate with production teams to streamline processes and support engineering in the design and fabrication of functional test equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional and parametric testing on electronic circuit boards and assemblies.
  • Perform failure analysis, root cause diagnosis, and schematic-based troubleshooting down to the component level.
  • Execute precise component-level repairs using SMT and through-hole techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineering to design, build, and validate test fixtures and equipment.
  • Partner with production teams to drive continuous process improvements.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of testing procedures, repairs, and outcomes.
  • Adhere to established safety, quality, and repair protocols to ensure compliance and reliability.
  • Required Qualifications

    • Experience: Minimum 5 years in electronic component-level debugging, diagnostics, and repair.
    • Skills:
    • Expertise in reading and analyzing schematics.
    • Exceptional soldering and rework techniques for small components.
    • Proficient use of oscilloscopes, multimeters (DVMs), function generators, power supplies, hipot testers, and related test instruments.
    • Educational Background: Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology—or equivalent military electronics training or relevant experience.
    • Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Legal Requirement: U.S. Citizenship.
