Description
CIeNET is seeking a meticulous and highly skilled Quality Assurance Tester to support our OEM Digital Car Key initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Android device integration, test automation, and automotive infotainment systems. This role involves configuring and testing Android phone interoperability with OEM test benches and vehicles, executing drive and stationary tests, and maintaining comprehensive bug and test reports. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and multilingual environment with frequent partner engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and test Android integration with OEM test benches or vehicles.
- Reproduce and troubleshoot issues involving NFC, BLE, UWB, and app-level flows across mobile and automotive systems.
- Conduct full regression and product-specific testing using OEM reference hardware, vehicles, and benches.
- Write detailed bug and test reports, perform preliminary analysis, and provide regular updates via OEM-provided dashboards.
- Flash and update Android devices with new software builds and app packages.
- Execute drive tests and stationary infotainment tests according to documentation provided by the OEM.
- Create and maintain user guides, validation plans, and scripts to support testing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and partner teams to optimize testing workflows and ensure high product quality.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Android framework, ecosystem, and test automation tools.
- Familiarity with test-driven development, Android debugging, and device flashing.
- Knowledge of NFC, BLE, UWB technologies and their application in mobile-to-vehicle systems.
- Proficiency with Android Platform Tools (ADB), shell scripting, and macOS/Linux environments.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills using tools such as Buganizer, Jira, or similar.
- Native-level fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking); business-level fluency in a local market language (e.g., Korean or German).
- Legally permitted to drive in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Must provide driver's license and disclose any infractions.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% to partner sites (as needed).
Job Tasks
- Flash and configure Android test devices and update supporting software components.
- Execute interoperability testing on OEM benches and vehicles, validating Digital Car Key functionality.
- Perform comprehensive stationary and drive testing following predefined test cases.
- Generate, update, and maintain localized test plans, automation scripts, and partner documentation.
- Track and analyze test case execution results; support debugging alongside engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB certification in Automotive Testing or Mobile Application Testing.
- Experience in automotive infotainment testing and validation.
- Background in scripting and test framework development (e.g., Python, Shell).
- Proven ability to work across cultures and communicate technical details clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
