What will I be doing?

This position will focus on PLM documentation and procedural practices and have clear knowledge of common policies and procedures as they pertain to the release of electronic consumer products. In addition, the PLM Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with document management standards, including adherence to part and document numbering and revision management. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and willing to use his/her experience to implement best practices in all responsibility areas.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Defines and implements BOM Structure, part numbering, and assembly numbering schemes based on the requirements of various Projects.
  • Works closely with internal engineering teams through design to manufacturing lifecycles.
  • Manages and implements the processing of changes in Arena - ECOs, MCOs, DCOs, etc. as well as New Part Number creation.
  • Work within PLM and ERP platform (NetSuite) to maintain accurate BOM's.
  • Manages all Engineering Changes through the review and release process, ensuring timely approval and processing.
  • Manages and implements Document Control Procedures and supports process creation and improvements with the support of the Sr. Manager – Supply Chain.
  • Provides Document Control status reporting at periodic status meetings.
  • Trains internal and external customers on process and document system use.
  • Maintain PLM systems for accuracy and accessibility of documents.
  • Advise on best practices for documenting changes on new and existing products.
  • Works closely with outsourced manufacturing partners on component package/releases.
  • Works with other internal teams as required.
  • Supports the Sr. Manager – Supply Chain with ERP platform (NetSuite) tasks as required, which include preparing current Open PO Reports, PO Receipts, A/P reconciliation, etc.
  • Provide support to the MFG team as required to meet specific product build timelines.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Data systems experience in a PLM environment.
  • Have experience working with a recognized ERP system.
  • 3+ years of experience working in Document Control or a similar capacity using systems and entering critical data.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to handle, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks, and be able to work with detailed processes.
  • Effective team player and communicator.
  • May be required to work in Supplier Facilities to support product build guidance.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years' experience with PLM (Arena preferred, Agile, etc.)
  • Extensive experience supporting engineering, manufacturing operations, suppliers, and EMS partners.
  • Direct experience with NetSuite or equivalent ERP tool.

To fully perform their duties, the PLM Project Manager will be required to sit, stand, carry, walk, reach, and bend.
