This position serves as one of the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) local agency's designated breastfeeding experts, available to provide follow-up breastfeeding support to WIC participants; act on referrals from other WIC staff regarding complex breastfeeding situations beyond their scope of practice; and assess and counsel mothers and infants with complex breastfeeding situations. This position will work primarily in our Naples office and sometimes our lmmokalee office when needed. Contributes to the organization's culture of performance excellence by actively seeking to improve personal and organizational performance through measurement, analysis, knowledge management, and processes improvements and participation in performance management committees, councils, and/or workgroups. Continuously demonstrates the Department's ICARE values. Thisposition reports to the Community Health Workers Supervisor Ill. Provides breastfeeding assessment and counseling to WIC clients.
