Provides guidance to Level 1 Engineers and Designers. Perform electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion. This includes collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop equipment layouts, one-line diagrams, cable routing, communications systems design, grounding design, equipment selection, and equipment specifications. Modify and review electrical drawings. Perform (minimum be familiar with) cable ampacity and trench design using software packages like CYMCAP, ETAP, or Amp. Calc. Modeling (minimum be familiar with) of grounding system design using software package Win. IGS. Design electrical components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers. Apply strong knowledge of NEC used in electrical engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry.
