Laborer (Landfill)

The Laborer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a landfill. Responsibilities may include yard clean-up, fueling vehicles and equipment, general vehicle operation, general office maintenance and other related duties. Key Responsibilities Sorts all incoming loads to assure materials are accepted and handled appropriately for disposal. Inspects work areas and incoming loads to ensure all materials are in full compliance with facility and material acceptance standards. Directs incoming and outgoing transportation to ensure it is controlled to comply with safety, environmental and other regulatory requirements. Cleans and fuels equipment as needed. Establishes and maintains a high level of professionalism in the areas of facility management and compliance.
