The Director, Equal Opportunity will report to the Vice President, Access and Community Engagement. This highly visible role is expected to develop, deliver, and oversee anti-discrimination and harassment programs for the university community, including students, faculty and staff. The Director is charged with managing the university's compliance with federal and state anti-discrimination laws, regulations and requirements. To that end, this position also serves as the institution-wide Title IX Coordinator, Title VI Coordinator, and the Section 504/ ADA Coordinator. The position will work closely with the Office of General Counsel as well as the Offices of Human Resources, Student Life, and Campus Security. The position will be primarily located at New York Tech's Old Westbury, New York, campus, but the responsibilities will also cover its campuses in New York, New York and Jonesboro, Arkansas.
