The Packaging Sanitation Operator works at the last stages of the cheese manufacturing line to pack finished products label and aggregate them for storage or shipment to distribution outlets. Heres a day in the life:Cleans work areas with chemicals and sets up the support, grind, dump, trim, tail rooms. Cleans mains packaging lines prior to QA preoperational inspection. Disassembles, cleans, reassembles, and sets up the Hayssen, 8660, bagger, curd, smokehouse, industrial patch slicer, cutter, boxer machines. Taping and inspecting seal bars on the 8600. Removes, cleans, and reinstalls machine belts according to sanitation schedule. Titrattion chemical testing. Clean, repair, and set up hand patch slicers. Follow lockout, tagout (LOTO) procedures. Chemical barrel handling and moving with lift. Cleaning and removal of chemical in the chemical trough including proper chemical disposing. Maintains and changes out wires on harps.
