Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – All Specialties

Pay Rate: Up to $30/hour

Position Overview:

We are actively seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join a respected academic medical center in Syracuse, NY. Open roles span multiple departments including primary care, pediatrics, and various specialty clinics. This is an excellent opportunity for CNAs who are looking to grow professionally and contribute to patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and prepare patients for appointments and procedures
  • Record vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
  • Assist providers during exams and clinical procedures
  • Administer injections and medications (as permitted)
  • Perform basic laboratory testing and phlebotomy
  • Support referral processes, appointment scheduling, and prior authorizations
  • Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms
  • Accurately document in the EMR (EPIC preferred)
  • Educate and guide patients on follow-up care

Required Qualifications:

  • Active CMA credential (AAMA, NCCT, NHA, or AMT)
  • BLS Certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
  • 6 months to 1 year of relevant clinical experience
  • Phlebotomy and injection administration experience preferred
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (EPIC strongly preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based clinical environment
  • Must pass a pre-employment health screening, drug test, and background check
