Established in 1870, CSH holds the distinction of being the first psychiatric hospital in the nation dedicated to the treatment of African Americans. Job Duties: - Delivery of supplies and materials to the correct department in a timely manner. - Picks up packages from units. - Disposes and moves equipment and/or furniture based on approved 403a form. - Assists with employee and office relocation by moving furniture, equipment, and supplies to include office to office and building to building. - Receives and checks all incoming shipments. - Stores merchandise in the proper areas. - Assists with Mailroom duties, including picking up mail from various buildings and delivering mail when needed to post office. -Maintains equipment and supplies. - Comply with all safety rules and regulations. - Surveys all pallet and storage areas. - Completes weekly equipment maintenance for the forklifts. - Perform other duties as assigned Per instructions of the Supervisor or designee. - Daily demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changes in the workplace (i.e. Supervisory instructions budget demands, reorganization and/or downsizing. Minimum Qualifications - Current valid Virginia drivers license. - Experience w/ computing, basic math. - Experience working in a Warehouse/Storekeeping. - Inventory Control Experience. - Experience with operating mechanical equipment (i.e. floor pallet jacks, fork lifts, etc) - Must obtain Forklift certification with in 3 months of employment.
