Rochester Hearing and Speech has immediate openings for full-time, part-time, and per diem Occupational Therapists interested in working with young children with special needs in homes, preschools, daycares, RHSC locations, and via teletherapy. New graduates welcome; pediatric experience preferred.   • Provide direct clinical services, including assessment and treatment of fine motor, sensory, adaptive, developmental, communication, and cognitive skills.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and adjust interventions based on patient progress.
  • Deliver parent, caregiver, and teacher training to support client goals and encourage family engagement.
  • Assess home, school, and community environments to recommend and implement appropriate modifications and equipment.
  • Facilitate participation in daily activities tailored to each child's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, evidence-based care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform administrative functions as needed and complete other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
Specific OT Needs: Itinerant Services (traveling to homes, daycares, preschools, and/or providing clinic services). Services provided primarily to children birth to five years old. Requirements • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and current NYS license to practice • Experience in pediatric settings preferred; new graduates with pediatric fieldwork welcome • Knowledge of evidence-based therapy and evaluation procedures to address sensory processing, fine motor, and adaptive delays • Valid NYS driver's license, automobile, and insurance coverage Physical Requirements:
  • Duties require extensive standing and walking.
  • Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
  • Duties require frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
