Job Description :

Kavaliro's client is seeking an Electronic Technician II for an onsite position in Melbourne, FL. As an Electronics Service Technician II, you'll be responsible for maintaining, testing, and repairing advanced communication equipment. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a hands-on environment, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and take pride in ensuring equipment operates at peak performance. You'll collaborate with a skilled team while also working independently to support product reliability and lifecycle performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair RF communication devices, including mobile and portable radios.
  • Configure and perform product testing to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Operate specialized test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Perform firmware updates, system alignments, and component-level board repairs.
  • Accurately document service activities, part usage, and repair results in internal systems.
  • Adhere to ISO and quality control procedures in all service and repair tasks.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for product issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support via phone or email when required.
  • Work effectively in a production environment, following standard processes including ESD handling requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Solid understanding of RF theory, analog, and digital electronics.
  • Proficiency in PCB soldering and component-level rework (preferred).
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and service documentation.
  • Effective communication skills with both team members and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong time management skills.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) is a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
