Resort Horticulturist

The Resort Horticulturist is more than just a team member; they're like the green-thumbed expert of our golf family, helping to create those lush, inviting landscapes that make our guests' experiences truly memorable. They're the specialist behind the scenes, working their magic on every inch of our Resort's Grounds and Golf Courses with master-level landscape design, development, and care. Resort Horticulturist's dedication not only brings our beautiful, world-owned greens to life but also ensures our guests are always eager to return for more smiles and unforgettable moments.

Select, propagate, and grow plant materials for ornamental use on and around the golf course, and the interior/exterior of all Resort properties. Assists in developing and implementing flower bed designs and cultivates plants for the professional appearance of the golf courses and interior and exterior landscapes.

Routinely install and maintain low-pressure irrigation systems for proper landscaping procedures.

Provide direction to groundskeepers for the routine maintenance/horticulture of ornamental plantings and ensure the appropriate and safe application of pesticides and fertilizers, when needed.

To be successful as a Resort Horticulturist, you'll need:

  • A valid Driver's license is required.
  • Associate's degree in Horticulture, Landscape Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in horticulture, commercial landscape design, or a closely related field.
  • Knowledge of the characteristics, growth habits, and proper cultivation of a wide selection of flowering bulbs and annual, biennial, and perennial plant materials including both herbaceous and woody plants. Knowledge of the characteristics and proper use of various fertilizers, soil conditioners, and pest control methods and materials.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 61 - 70 pounds.
