➤ Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift contract at a busy Los Angeles hospital. This unit manages both low and high-risk deliveries with robust support services. The ideal candidate is a proficient L&D nurse with strong fetal monitoring and C-section circulation skills who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. ➤ Key Responsibilities:
- Manage care for low and high-risk laboring patients, neonates, adolescents, and adults.
- Proficiently perform and interpret external fetal monitoring; recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
- Circulate for Cesarean sections in one of two dedicated ORs.
- Utilize SBAR communication and operate Omnicell and eMD Allscripts systems.
- Float to other Perinatal units (e.g., Post-Partum) as needed based on census.
- Self-schedule shifts in coordination with unit management.
➤ Mandatory Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience.
- Travel experience is NOT required. (Accepts first-time travelers).
- Must have proven experience in the Required Skills listed.
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active CA RN License (Required at time of submission).
- AHA BLS (Required).
- ACLS (Required).
- NRP (Required).
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (Required).
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Floating: Must be willing to float to other Perinatal units.
- Holidays: Must be available to work most holidays.
- Time Off (RTO): MAXIMUM of 3 days RTO total. All time off must be submitted at initial submittal and cannot be changed later. No RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment. One holiday RTO request is allowed but not guaranteed.

- Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults.
- Unit Size: 11 LDR beds, 4 Triage rooms, 2 Operating Rooms.
- Support: 24/7 OB Hospitalist & OB Anesthesia, NICU, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Services, Interpretation Services, Rapid Response Teams.
- Charting System: eMD Allscripts.
- Patient Acuity: Low and High-Risk L&D.
