Job Title: Localization Specialist (Part time)
Location: Remote
Duration: 4 Months with possibility of extension
Pay Rate: $40 - $45/hr on W2
Possible to extend into 2026; currently budgeted through end of year.
Client is seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Localization QA Specialist with native fluency in Czech to support our global expansion and product localization efforts. This is a tactical, hands-on Linguistic QA position focused on ensuring high-quality localized content across our software products, user interfaces, and related materials.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including Development, UX, and QA, reviewing and validating translations in real product environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Linguistic QA for context translation accuracy and errors.Review Software user interfaces (UI), Documentation, User guides, and other localized content for context, accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to brand tone.Provide detailed feedback on translated screens and other materials, working alongside Development, Software testing, QA, and UX teams.Conduct research on medical and technical terminology for Czech, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and cultural conformity.Collaborate with UX and automation teams to assess localization effectiveness in product design.Understand and communicate the impact of localization on downstream content (training, marketing, etc.).Report and track linguistic issues using JIRA, collaborating with dev/QA for resolution.Participate in team meetings, sharing progress and insights with stakeholders.Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Native-level fluency in Czech with translator-level command.
- Strong proficiency in English (written and verbal).
- Proven experience in linguistic QA or content review roles.
- Solid understanding of software development and QA cycles.
- Technically savvy; comfortable working with mobile apps (Android/iOS).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, JIRA, and Adobe Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail, cross-cultural awareness, and organizational skills.
- Self-driven with strong time management, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Desirable (Nice-to-Have) Qualifications:
- Familiarity with CAT tools or Localization QA tools.
- Experience in medical devices, life sciences, or software localization.
- Multilingual skills beyond Czech and English.
- Certification in localization, translation, or linguistics.
Education and Experience:
- BS degree or BA with 2-years' experience in localization related field.
Work Environment & Logistics:
- 100% remote – candidates must reside in the US or Mexico.
- Preferably be available to work within Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.
- Reports to the Localization Manager and collaborates across geographically distributed teams.

- Communicating clearly and collaborating seamlessly across localization, UX, and engineering teams.

- Demonstrating ownership, precision, and pride in linguistic quality across the digital ecosystem.
