Job Summary: The Loader Operator at the Mixing Plant is responsible for safely operating front-end loaders and related equipment to move and load raw materials such as clay and sand used in the brick manufacturing process. This role plays a critical part in maintaining consistent material supply and supporting continuous plant operations. Work Schedule: Full-time position, Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Schedule may vary based on production needs. Key Responsibilities: Equipment Operation:
- Operate front-end loaders and other material handling equipment efficiently and safely.
- Load raw materials into hoppers, feeders, and storage areas as directed.
- Move materials from stockpiles to processing areas within the plant.
Material Handling:
- Maintain steady supply of raw materials to ensure uninterrupted mixing plant operations.
- Ensure accuracy of material types and mixing ratios according to production standards.
- Monitor material stock levels and communicate replenishment needs.
Maintenance and Inspections:
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report issues to the maintenance team.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance such as greasing, checking fluid levels, and cleaning.
- Work with maintenance personnel for more extensive repairs and upkeep.
Safety Compliance:
- Follow all plant safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Immediately report safety concerns or equipment malfunctions.
Production Support:
- Coordinate with plant operators to manage raw material flow.
- Assist with material clean-up and storage organization to support production efficiency.
- Report deviations in material quality or process to supervisor promptly.
Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of material loads, equipment usage, and maintenance activities.
- Complete required documentation on shift reports and equipment logs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience operating front-end loaders or similar equipment preferred.
- Familiarity with raw material types used in brick manufacturing a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dusty, and physically demanding environment.
- Strong understanding of safety and maintenance procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying outdoor conditions.
- Must pass all required safety training.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to weather, dust, noise, and vibrations typical of an industrial yard or mixing plant environment.
- May require overtime or weekend work depending on production demands.
