Responsibilities Assistant Service Manager:
- Support the Service Manager in daily operations of the Service Department
- Assist in managing service staff, scheduling, and performance reviews
- Follow vehicle status from service bay entry to completion
- Review work order with customer to ensure satisfaction
- Ensure consistent follow-ups to increase customer loyalty and CSI
- Solve problems and meet predetermined service and sales objectives
- Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Ensure proper maintenance and repair of all equipment
Requirements Assistant Service Manager:
- Previous dealership Service or Parts management preferred but we will train candidates with Service Advisor experience
- Knowledge of dealership warranty process and policies; principles and processes for providing great customer service
- Familiarity with service management software (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.)
- ASE certification or equivalent experience is a plus
- The ability to identify causes of operating errors and the knowledge to create and implement processes and corrective actions
- An aptitude for developing employees including training, leadership and communication
- The ability to use good judgment in challenging situations
- A professional demeanor when interacting with customers and team members
- Good communication skills, paying attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
