Develops the project plan for all key departmental projects around metal light-weighting, down-gauging, new product designs, and process improvement. Manages the key departmental projects through all phases from idea conception to full plant rollout and commercialization. Writes the CA - Rs and enures that the timelines and budget targets are met or exceeded for the key department projects. Identifies potential can and/ or end lightweighting opportunities. Provides engineering capital estimates to the business for can and/or end modifications. Provides technical support to technical licensees in teh areas of metal cost reduction, technical documentation and product problem resolution. Support Marketing programs to develop new products that meet customer requirements and top line growth targets. Execute Development Engineering Department Goals.
