The Infrastructure and Economic Development Delivery Center, specifically within the Technology Services Office, is on the lookout for a driven IT professional to become a vital part of the Infrastructure team. This role involves supporting a variety of technologies that facilitate applications and services for both employees and the citizens of Pennsylvania. You will play a crucial role in assisting multiple facilities and users across the south-central region, including Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This role is situated within the Office of Administration, specifically under the Infrastructure and Economic Development (IED) Delivery Center, within the Technology Services Office (TSO) and the IT Coordinator Division. The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver a wide range of support and system enhancement activities tailored for Information Technology end users across various locations, including District and County offices, Construction Field offices, County Stockpiles, Welcome Centers, Driver License Centers, and other remote sites associated with PennDOT, DCED, and PEMA as needed. The individual in this role will engage in troubleshooting to resolve network issues, oversee the installation and maintenance of both hardware and software, and provide assistance to users in effectively integrating and utilizing information technology within their work applications. Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week based on operational needs. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orThree years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; orOne year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements:This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
