Position Title: Dental Assistant Location: Alpharetta, GA Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. This role focuses on delivering excellent patient care, supporting dental procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to handle a variety of clinical responsibilities while maintaining a safe and positive environment for patients. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare treatment rooms by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
  • Welcome, comfort, seat, and drape patients for treatment.
  • Provide support during procedures by sterilizing and delivering instruments, suctioning, and passing instruments to the dentist.
  • Prepare and place materials as directed by the dentist.
  • Perform diagnostic tasks, including exposing and developing radiographs, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
  • Assist in maintaining patient appearance and comfort by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning appliances.
  • Support the dentist in handling dental and medical emergencies, ensuring readiness with CPR certification and emergency supplies.
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-operative care.
  • Document patient care services accurately in records.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Adhere strictly to infection-control policies, safety procedures, and office regulations.
  • Use resources efficiently to accomplish job responsibilities.
  • Continue professional development through workshops, publications, and networking.
  • Contribute to a team-oriented work environment and assist with other duties as needed.
Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.
Education & Certifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program.
  • Valid X-ray license.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Coronal Polishing Certification.
  • Nitrous Oxide Certification.
