The Clinical Assistant will work closely with the clinic team to ensure efficient patient flow, provide support to medical staff, and assist patients with a variety of needs in a patient-focused environment. This role includes preparing patient records, rooming patients, taking vital signs, updating medical histories, maintaining clinic flow, and providing assistance during medical procedures. Clinical Assistants may be cross trained in multiple clinic areas to assist with diverse responsibilities. JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Calls patients from the waiting area in a timely and pleasant manner and escorts them to exam rooms, as clinic flow permits. Obtains and inputs vital signs into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Updates patient records with current medications and other relevant health information, supporting the clinic teams needs for patient examination.
