Practices regular hand hygiene and complies with standard and transmission based precautions as applicable. Accountable for maintaining Infusion Center Policies and Procedures that are up to date and that Nursing Staff adheres to set regulations. Maintains professional competency and seeks opportunities for self growth. Responds appropriately to the special needs of each group served specific to age, language, gender, culture, religion/spirituality, economic background, education or literacy, developmental or cognitive disabilities, physical and developmental disabilities. Employee aids in the orientation/mentoring of new employees. Plans, projects and monitors staffing needs based on unit census, policies and other variables. Responsible for hiring employees and encouraged to facilitate peer interviews in selection process.
