This position is specific to the Harris Nuclear Plant (HNP), located in New Hill, North Carolina. HNP is a single unit, Westinghouse Pressurized Water Reactor with a rated thermal power of 2948 M - Wth. This is the advancing level (ENG III) or the career/senior level (Sr Engineer) of the Engineering classification hierarchy. Employees at this level solve more complex problems in engineering areas of specialization with limited supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with even greater independence. They effectively apply fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is progressively complex and varied. Expectation is that completion of major responsibilities, such as those listed below, are done under Limited Supervision. Job Responsibilities.
