Assigns subordinate personnel to specific posts and duties. Monitors the activity of subordinate and insures staff follows established policies, procedures and guidelines. Performs Desk Operations:-Completes all necessary paper work including but not limited to blotter entries, shift reports, incident reports and property reports. Answers incoming telephone calls. Dispatches personnel including facilities and security staff to calls for service. Monitors all alarms and systems in the Security Command Center. Sells parking permits and issues parking passes pursuant to hospital and department policies and procedures. Responsible for the safekeeping of all patient property and valuables in the custody of the Protective Services/ Security Department. Responsible for the safekeeping of all funds stored in the departmental safe relative to the Hospital's Visitor Parking Program.
