Employment Type:Full time. Shift:Day Shift. Description:POSITION PURPOSE - Material Handlers transport equipment, linen, supplies, trash, food, and pharmacy carts to designated areas. Maintains appropriate stock in each area. Maintain and monitor the use of the automatic guided vehicle system. Cleans and sanitizes linen carts using cart washing equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Transports and delivers equipment, linen, supplies, trash, food, and pharmacy cart by user departments from general stores. Responsible for unit inventories and coordination of linens to assure adequate daily par levels and supply needs. Operates freight elevator to transport medical and non-medical supplies to and from the designated areas. Works closely with receiving dock handlers in unloading SJMHS vehicles delivering supplies from the Material Center to the hospital dock.
