This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. Summary Receives patient assistance calls from nursing staff and dispatches Medical Support Team personnel to various departments to assist staff with various patient needs. Directs the activities of the Medical Support Technicians working/or rotating through the department including their discipline and performance while in that area. Performs Medical Support Technician duties in the absence of technicians. Responsible for the collection of blood specimens and performing EKGs, ensuring patient safety and consistency with age-specific considerations for all patients, neonates, infants, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Performs clerical functions, processing duties, and training of employees. Transports patients and visitors in a safe, timely manner to their designated destinations. Documents requests for services in order to provide an accurate and timely tracking system.
