The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Food Service Administrator and ensure that food is stored, prepared, distributed, and served under sanitary conditions. Maintain dish room, serving area, dining room, and food storage areas in an orderly and sanitary condition. Complete assigned cleaning tasks. Assist in the preparation of meals as assigned, pull and pre-prep foods as assigned, help setup, and serve all meals. Must have knowledge of the equipment, procedures and techniques used in cooking, baking, and/or meat cutting. Ability to read and follow recipes and/or other instructions. Record all temperatures in the temperature book (food and equipment). Report any faulty equipment to the supervisor. Assist with placing food items on serving lines and keep serving lines well stocked. Maintain, check, and control kitchen inventory to determine quantities available as well as amounts needed for operations.
