Equipment Operator and Material Sorter

This position operates on first shift, Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm. Overtime may be required, including 10 hour days and scheduled Saturdays. The operator will sort plates, rail spikes, and other track material as it comes down a conveyor belt. Scrap is sorted manually, and plates weigh up to 40 pounds. Work is performed outside under a shelter and there is high dust exposure. The OTM Sorter will primarily: - Move, sort and divide Recycled railroad parts and metals coming down a conveyor line system. Work is extremely dirty and workers are exposed to all weather conditions; - Run various equipment; - Perform routine maintenance and clean up; - Work outdoors in all weather conditions; - Climb, squat, bend,and crawl; - Other duties as assigned. - HS Diploma or equivalent education and experience. - Previous experience operating forklifts and other mobile equipment is a plus; - Must be able to work in severe weather conditions and withstand fumes, dust and other physical demands of the...Equipment Operator, Operator, Equipment, Manufacturing, Transportation
