A Day in the Life of a Transfer Operator\n. As a Transfer Operator, you'll spend your day outdoors transferring bulk materials-both hazardous and non-hazardous-between railcars and tank trucks. Using pumps, hoses, and valves, you'll prepare products for transfer by heating, sparging, or sampling. You'll climb railcars, work at heights, and sometimes wear full hazmat PPE to stay safe.\n.
