- Employment Type: TravelRegistered Nurse (RN) - General Unit Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Days) Role Overview: The RN is a professional caregiver responsible for providing nursing care to a group of patients within a designated time frame. The nurse applies the nursing process, incorporates current trends, and utilizes technology and resources in alignment with the institution's philosophy. Essential Functions: Perform unit-specific nursing duties within the scope of service. Implement procedures and theories related to the nursing specialty area. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of nursing care in EPIC. Conduct initial patient assessments upon admission and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs. Implement and modify plans of care through ongoing evaluation. Ensure patient and staff safety by reporting or correcting hazards/incidents. Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and other healthcare team members. Provide constructive feedback for professional development and collaborate to expand knowledge. Identify personal learning needs and proactively seek education. Complete all required departmental competencies. Department-Specific Responsibilities: Complete thorough patient assessments and document findings in EPIC. Recognize and report normal and abnormal clinical findings to physicians promptly. Develop and set patient care plans and goals. Establish IVs in patients older than 8 years. Adhere to the five rights of medication administration for all patients.
