The main function of a packer is to pack or package by hand a wide variety of products and materials. The responsibilities include measuring, weighing, and counting products and materials. They also record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records. Packers load materials and products into package processing equipment and assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools. They clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas using cleaning solutions and hand tools. Packers transport packages to customers vehicles.
Essential skills include verbal communication skills and being a team player. Basic problem-solving skills, basic knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures are also required. The ability to lift heavy objects is necessary. High school diploma or GED is typically required, and 0-2 years of experience is needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Turlock, California. The pay range for this position is $17.64/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
