Job Summary and QualificationsPlans, coordinates, and directs all administrative functions and technical activities of the Imaging, Radiation Oncology, and Gamma Knife Services departments.
Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.
Guides and coordinates the activities of managers and staff of all Imaging departments
Facilitates selection of managers, orientation, continued competency assessment, and feedback
Serves as leader for managers and employees
Coordinates and integrates interdepartmental and intradepartmental services
Establishes and maintains positive rapport between department employees, physicians and ancillary departments to ensure the continuance of a harmonious work environment
Provides guidance and direction in problem resolution; serves as a liaison between employees, physicians, and hospital administration
Serves as a patient advocate
Works closely with the Medical Directors and the hospital administration regarding capital equipment acquisition, facility and staffing needs
Ensures compliance with all state and federal guidelines
Keeps current with communications
Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services
Interprets and applies hospital administrative and personnel policies
Actively participates in designing the approach to assessing and improving the performance of care and services provided, and ensure that it is implemented through monitoring and evaluation
Guides and directs the development of short and long term goals and objective within the department
Directly manages Imaging departments as necessary
Develops and monitors operating budgets to control costs and ensure maximum economy and efficiency
Actively participates in the promotion of all Imaging, Diagnostic, and Therapeutic Services
Performs all other duties as assigned
